| Hedwig,
a boy originally named Hansel when he was born in East Germany
in late 1960s, reluctantly submits to a sex change operation
in order to marry an American G.I. and get over the Berlin Wall
to freedom. The operation is botched, leaving her with the aforementioned
"angry inch". Finding herself high, dry and divorced
in Kansas, she pushes on to form a rock band and encounters
a lover/protege in young Tommy Gnosis, who eventually leaves
her, steals her songs and becomes a huge rock star. Betrayed
Hedwig followed after Tommy leading her rock band, Angry Inch,
on a tour of the U.S. at restaurants. Can Hedwig retrieve her
songs, her soul, and meet the one half she has been looking
for ? |

Only one dark-haired woman lives through in a car crash on
Mulholland Drive, but she remembers nothing afterwards. She
hides in an empty apartment of some famous actress but is
found by Betty, the actress's niece. The woman tells Betty
that her name is Rita and the situation she is in. Betty feels
sorry for Rita and offers to help her. They open Rita's bag
to figure out who she is and found a blue key and a purse
full of cash.
Rita eventually remembers one name "Diane Selwyn."
Betty and she visit Sierra Bonita where Diane Selwyn lives.
They knocked on her door but no one answers. Then entered
into the bedroom to find a decomposed body of woman. Who is
she? Who is Diane? Who is Rita?
Betty begins having a thing toward Rita.

Five stories
of women who discover the pain, loneliness, and hope in their
lives by mere accidents.
Segment 4: "Goodnight Lilly, Goodnight Christine"
Chrstine, a tarrot reader is living together with her lesbian
lover Lilly who's dying from cancer. It is her work to give
people advises but she herself struggles with increasing grief
and depression for losing Lilly. Lilly tries to interact and
talk with Christine but Christine is scared of and can't face
the fact that her lover's dying, and she shuts her heart.
