LOVE/JUICE
(Japan 2000)
Directed & scripted by Kaze Shindou
Featuring Mika Okuno, Cika Fujimura
|
story: |
Kyoko and Chinatsu are
living together in an old house on the outskirts of Tokyo.
Chinatsu is a lesbian. They share the bed at nights but the
two are just friends. However, Kyoko falls in love with a man
who works at a tropical fish shop, and Chinatsu finds her loving
Kyoko. This makes a gap between the two and they starts hurting
each other.
|
point: |
Chinatsu has worries in
being a lesbian and not being able to keep relationships with
girlfriends. Kyoko soothes Chinatsu, and the two need each
other. Chinatsu wants Kyoko but Kyoko can't accept her. The
gap between the two is painful, and the choice they took in
the end is bitter but pure. The script and direction by the
first-time director, Kaze Shindou, who carefully depicted changes
in feeling.

good Japanese film.
It depicts a normal everyday and easily involves us.
Chika Fujimura (Chinatsu) is smashing!
The relationship between Kyoko and Chinatsu is envious.
