However, the family never loses hope and joy. A story of a thriving family told with humor. Film of the Bestseller by John Irving, a wunderkind of American contemporary literature.

point: It's striking that the oldest Frannie has a lesbian relationship with Susie. It is courageous to see how the kids live their lives proactively regardless of all the problems they have. Berry the father's lesson, "Let the open window pass," is impressive. It excellently depictured an epic by John Irving and is worth seeing once.

Carol, who carries over her feeling toward Alma, and the mysterious girl together took Alma away from her husband by force. Andrew asked n-5 for bring her back.

point: La Pirate is feminine noun of Pirate in French, and representing Carol who is strong and tries to bear off Alma abandoning herself to the feeling toward Alma. Jane Birkin rarely embodies Alma who loves everyone but can't really love anyone. Andrew Birkin who played Alma's husband is a real brother of Jane Birkin. Director's taste can be seen in that casting.
